Money Overflow

So far I guess the easiest to plant is "money plant" or also known as Scindapsus aureus (I think). Don't know why it is known as money plant when it does not look like any form of currency that I know. Maybe someone, sometime ago tried to sell this particular plant of his and came up with this catchy name to attract buyers.

If you want some, don't really have to buy. Just say hi to one of your neighbors that has this plant and ask for some. Just cut or even pluck with your hand. It can live in soil or even just water. Those that I put outdoor, I plant it in soil. Indoors, normally I would place it in a nice bottle or vase with just plain water. You don't really have to pay much attention to it.

I notice that when I grow it in soil outdoors, it grows about one to two inches per day. In no time I will get a long strand of money plant. Roots will appear along the strand. It is a creepy plant so once in a while I have to check on it to make sure its roots does not stick to my wall or on anything that is near it . It would leave marks.

When I plant it indoor, in a vase or pot of plain water or in jelly, the plant grows extremely slow or stop growing. Leaves are still green and shiny but no additional leaves. Well the pros and cons of "money plant". One of my friend came by my house last month. Haven't seen her for years. I gave her some potted plants as a gift (I love doing that) and she said my house is just like the plant nursery with variety of plants. Anyone need plants to decorate their house, just pay me a visit.

Peanut Butter Banana Toast

Click on the picture to have a full view.

I saw this on t.v, one of those cook show. It is simple, fast and easy to prepare. Children loves it. I know it looks like another of those fattening unhealthy fast food snack but eating it once a month won't hurt. It is really yummy.

Ingredients are:

Peanut butter
Bread (preferable wholemeal)

Spread peanut butter on both bread. Cut banana in slices and arrange on bread. Put the two bread together to make a sandwich. Heat up a non-stick pan with a bit of butter. Toast the bread on the pan on both side till brown. If you intend to cut it into two (triangle or what ever shape you desire), do that after you the toasting. Serve immediately. I like it when it is hot and crunchy.

If you prefer to use the oven or toaster instead, than spread butter on the bread first (outer part) before you toast it in a toaster or oven. The purpose of spreading the butter is, when you bite into it, you will get a savoury combination of salty butter and sweet peanut butter and banana. Hmmm yummy! I am drooling already. Happy trying.

New Kid On The Blog

Hi! I am the new kid on the blog. Aim of blogging is to make new friends and let old one know what I am up to lately. Being an Aries, one hobby is not enough. Latest addition, blogging. I had read quite a number of blogs and it looks like quite fun to blog.

I hope, through my blog, I could get connected to others around the world who shares the same interest as me. Most of my posts would be about cooking, gardening, parenting, reading and share with everyone about stuffs I just learned or current issues.

No doubt I am only an anchovy swimming in the big sea of bloggers, hope I would not be left unnoticed. I am still at the learning stage. Guess this is it. A space for me to show off about what I know and had learn. Don't get me wrong. I am no "guru" or "master" trying to teach others. If you think that we had a lot in common, post me your URL on the comment column so that I could read your blog.

Hope I am welcome with open arms. Will be posting more soon. I won't be far, just a blog away. See you soon.
